11-12-12 - Not Even Joking.
I showed Chuck the 2,358 hits on my site under the phrase "I win again" and this is what he had to say. Edit: (everything in parenthesis is my response, this was evidently not clear to everyone)
Justin. I don't care about your comic. (he told me he reads it every day, and he goes out of his way to troll it) PS... judging by those stats... not a lot of folks do either. (29 second page views for a 21 word comic.) You seem to equate visits with quality somehow. (Out of the 220 people that ranked the piece on reddit 163 up voted it, that's 74 percent approval.) That is a similar argument as the Backstreet Boys are AWESOME because they've sold 30 billion albums. (They've sold 130 million albums. Use Google.) You are not going to "make it" because of reddit. (I don't need to "make it" I like my job and am comfortable with who I am) You'll make it if your comics are ever funny or uniquely witty. However I don't see that happening. (That's not a critique, that's just being a dick) Now... go grandfather yourself. (he's telling me to go fuck myself, it makes sense in the context of our larger conversation.)
Since he doesn't care about my comic I'm sure he'll never see this.
