History

in 1999 I saw "Fight Club" in theatres. I was twenty years old and impressionable. I smoked a cigarette on the way out of the theatre and thought to myself "I've got to do something". I knew I wasn't the type that enjoyed being punched in the face, but I wanted to do something to change the way I lived. I decided to start a band. I didn't know how to play any instruments. After a false start I got four guys together to play, we called ourselves "Simple Machines". I played keyboards, a Cassio SA-38 to start. We played once or twice a week for two years and basically accomplished nothing except for buying equipment. We Broke up just after buying a 4 track. Neither of the other band members who went in on it showed an immediate interest in it, (Later this changed and caused a lot of tension which seems very quaint looking back, as it is a very meager piece of equipment.) so I took it home and started recording. This is the product of that recording. Enjoy.
